Execution log
The execution log records every workflow step PropLink has run. Useful for audit, for spotting workflows that misfire and for confirming a specific action did happen on the date you say it did.
What it shows
Each entry records:
- The workflow (arrears, maintenance, approval, scheduled).
- The case or record the workflow ran on.
- The step that ran.
- The trigger that fired the step (days past due, scheduled time, event).
- The output (the message sent, the document generated, the task raised).
- The user or system that owned the action.
- The timestamp.
- The outcome: success or failure.
Filtering
- By workflow — only see steps from a specific workflow.
- By date range — last 7 days, last 30 days, custom.
- By outcome — successes only, failures only.
- By case — every step on one arrears case or one work order.
- By template — every time a specific template was used.
Failure investigation
For failed steps, the entry includes:
- The error message.
- The downstream system involved (email provider, document renderer, integration).
- The number of retries attempted.
- A link to the related record.
Use the log to spot patterns. Multiple failures from the same template usually mean the template references a merge field that no longer exists.
Export
The log exports to CSV. For an annual audit or a tribunal-evidence request, export the slice you need and attach.
Retention
Execution log entries persist for as long as the organisation exists. Like the main audit trail, they are never deleted.
