A quick tour of the interface

PropLink keeps the same screen layout everywhere. Once you know where the sidebar, breadcrumbs and search live, you can find anything.

The header

The header sits at the top of every page.

  • PropLink logo: click to go home.
  • Global search: press +K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) anywhere in the app to open it. Search across sites, units, contacts, vendors, invoices and tickets in one place.
  • Notifications: a bell icon shows unread items. Click to see the latest, or click See all to open the full feed.
  • Profile menu: your photo (or initials) in the top right. Use it to switch organisations, change settings, toggle dark mode, sign out.

The sidebar

The sidebar on the left lists every top-level area: Portfolio, Financials, Maintenance, Tickets, Reporting, Templates, Files, Communications, Settings. Items shown depend on which modules your organisation has on and which permissions you have.

Click a top-level item to expand its sub-navigation. The current page is highlighted with a brand-coloured accent.

On a phone or small tablet, the sidebar collapses to a drawer. Tap the menu icon to open it.

Below the header you always see breadcrumbs, for example Portfolio › Sites › 17 Acacia Avenue › Financials › Debtors. Click any breadcrumb to jump back up the hierarchy.

The page itself

Most pages have:

  • A header with the page title, key metadata and primary actions on the right.
  • A datatable with filters along the top and pagination at the bottom. Click any row to drill into the detail.
  • Tabs if the page has several views, for example a unit page has Summary, Invoices, Statement, Files, Notes, History.

Modals

Most write actions open in a modal , Create site, Add unit, Record receipt, Approve invoice. The modal locks the rest of the screen until you confirm or cancel.

History and Notes panel

Most records have a History and Notes panel at the bottom, the audit trail for that record. It shows every event in reverse chronological order, who did it and when. Useful for tracking back when something has not behaved as expected.

Dark mode

Toggle dark mode from the profile menu. Your preference is saved per device.

Keyboard shortcuts

A handful of shortcuts work everywhere. See the full list in Keyboard shortcuts, but the everyday ones are:

ShortcutWhat it does
+K / Ctrl+KOpen global search
g then sGo to Sites
g then pGo to Payments
?Show keyboard shortcuts
EscClose a modal

Help

The question-mark icon in the header opens this documentation site in a new tab, deep-linked to the page that matches what you are looking at. If you are mid-task on a payment screen, Help takes you straight to the payment guide.
