GoCardless feed says reconnection required

Symptom

A bank account's feed status shows Reconnection required or Expired. New transactions are not arriving.

Cause

UK Open Banking regulations require you to reauthorise access to your bank's data every 90 days. The previous authorisation has expired.

Fix

    1. Open the bank account in Financials → Bank accounts.
    2. Click Reconnect feed.
    3. You are redirected to GoCardless and your bank.
    4. Sign in to your bank's online banking.
    5. Authorise read-only access to the account.
    6. PropLink confirms the connection and resumes pulling transactions.

PropLink notifies you ten days before each expiry to give you time to reauthorise without service disruption.

Prevent it next time

  • Set a calendar reminder for reauthorisation.
  • Make sure you have your online banking credentials handy when the reminder fires.
  • For shared agent accounts, agree which user is responsible for reauthorisation.
