Work order analytics

Work order analytics tell you what is happening operationally: how many work orders are open, how much they cost, who is doing them well.

Metrics covered

  • Volume — work orders opened, closed and cancelled in the period.
  • Spend — total awarded value, total billed value, total variance.
  • Completion — percentage completed on time, average time to completion.
  • Category mix — share of work orders by service category.
  • Top vendors — by volume, by spend, by completion rate.
  • Site mix — work orders per site, spend per site.
  • Quality — average rating per vendor and per category.

Run the report

    1. Open Reporting → Operational → Work order analytics.
    2. Pick the period and any filters.
    3. Run.

Slicing

The report supports comparison cuts:

  • This quarter vs last quarter.
  • Site A vs site B.
  • Vendor A vs vendor B.
  • Category mix this year vs last year.

Use comparisons to spot creeping cost categories or under-performing vendors.

Use cases

  • Operations review — monthly look at what is moving through the system.
  • Procurement strategy — which categories are blowing the budget, which need more panel competition.
  • Vendor reviews — pair with Vendor performance for the panel meeting.
  • Capital planning — recurring high-volume work in a category may justify a service agreement instead.
