A contractor's ContractorPort link doesn't work
Symptom
A contractor clicks the ContractorPort link in their invitation email and sees an error rather than the work order submission form.
Cause
- The link has expired. ContractorPort links are time-limited.
- The work order has been cancelled since the invitation was sent.
- The link has been revoked by the manager.
- The link is being opened on a device that has been signed in to a different ContractorPort session.
- The email client has corrupted the URL (some clients shorten or wrap URLs).
Fix
- Open the work order in the admin app.
- Confirm the work order is still active and the invitation has not been revoked.
- If the link has expired, click Resend invitation to send a fresh one.
- Ask the contractor to copy the link directly from the email rather than clicking.
Prevent it next time
- Send invitations close to when you expect the contractor to respond.
- Set realistic link expiry windows for the work type.
