Push notifications aren't reaching the Facility Report app

Symptom

The Facility Report mobile app does not show notifications, or shows them late.

Cause

  • The phone's notification permission is off for PropLink.
  • The user's notification preferences in PropLink have the event disabled.
  • The phone is in low-power mode, which throttles push.
  • The user is signed out of the app.
  • The app is uninstalled or has not been opened recently.

Fix

    1. On the phone, open Settings → Notifications → Facility Report and confirm notifications are enabled.
    2. In the app, open Profile → Notification preferences and confirm the event types you expect are switched on.
    3. Disable low-power mode if relevant.
    4. Sign in again if the user has been signed out.
    5. Reinstall the app if it has been uninstalled.

Prevent it next time

  • During onboarding, walk new users through enabling permissions.
  • Test with a deliberate high-priority ticket to confirm push arrives.
