The chat interface

PropManager AI will live in a chat panel that opens from the header in the admin app, ResidencePort and the Facility Report mobile app.

How it will work

The panel will support:

  • Free-text questions — ask anything in plain English.
  • Context awareness — questions on a site page are scoped to that site by default. Questions on a payment are scoped to that payment. You can broaden to portfolio scope at any time.
  • Suggested actions — the AI will propose draft actions (raise a work order, send a letter, post a journal). Nothing changes without your approval.
  • Source citations — answers cite the underlying records so you can verify.
  • Conversation memory within a session — follow-up questions build on previous answers.

What it will not do

  • Take destructive actions without confirmation.
  • See or share data outside your organisation.
  • Replace human judgement on regulated decisions.

Why it is not live yet

The chat surface exists in PropLink as a UI prototype. The backend retrieval and reasoning layer is still being built. We are taking care to design it correctly rather than fast.
