Audit logs
The audit logs page under Settings is the searchable view of every meaningful action across your organisation.
What you can search
- Users — every user action.
- Records — every change to a specific record (site, unit, invoice, work order).
- Actions — every event of a specific type (sign-in, approval, send, export, permission change).
- Dates — every event in a date range.
- IP addresses — useful during a security review.
Filter examples
- Every sign-in from outside the UK in the last 30 days.
- Every approval action by user X.
- Every change to a specific invoice.
- Every export of a contact's personal data.
- Every permission change to user accounts.
Drilling into an entry
Click any audit entry to see:
- The user and time.
- The action.
- The before-and-after values for changed fields.
- The IP address and user agent.
- A link to the affected record.
Exporting
Audit logs export to CSV. For compliance reviews (RICS audit, ICO breach response, court disclosure), export the relevant slice with the filters above and attach to your file.
Retention
Audit entries are never deleted. They persist as long as the organisation exists.
What is not in the audit logs
- Reads are not logged by default. Sensitive reads (contact data exports, file downloads of specific folders) can be enabled.
- Search queries are not logged.
- Page views are not logged.
If your firm needs read logging for specific records, enable it under Settings → Audit → Read logging. Be aware that read logging has a noticeable cost on storage.
Access
Only Administrators and Organisation Owners can see the audit logs by default. Custom roles can be granted the View audit logs permission selectively.
